A Chevrolet SUV flipped several times in a wreck on Start Ridge Road outside of Carthage Feb. 14. A 2-year-old boy died from injuries suffered in the wreck, and two other children, ages 4 and 6, are in critical condition at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Two others in the car, a 19-year-old male and his 12-year-old sister, were taken to FirstHealth Moore Regional, where they were treated and released. No charges have been filed. (Frank Staples)
