The Village Theatre in Robbins is undergoing renovation and expansion by its nonprofit foundation owner. A 1960s era shingle awning has been removed, balcony and under-balcony partitions removed to reopen those areas for seating. The foundation just bought a building next door for new restrooms and other facilities to serve the theater.
