Hundreds Turn Out to Honor Jim Westbrook
Hundreds of friends, colleagues and supporters of the late James Layman “Jim” Westbrook joined family members Friday to honor the man who was to be Moore County’s interim manager.
Interim County Manager Killed in Traffic Accident
Westbrook, who would have turned 69 Thursday, had a long and distinguished career as a local government manager for several cities, including Fayetteville, Asheville and Cary. He also had worked in various Moore County governmental departments as a consultant.
