The village plans to make improvements to the sand parking lot.

The board sent the item back to the Historic Preservation Commission and ordered it to approve the project, which calls for expansion of the downtown sand parking lot and changes to the Village Green in the area near Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives.
Village Opts Not to Conduct Report on Landmark Status
The Pinehurst Village Council has chosen not to conduct a controversial report to study the village’s status as a National Historic Landmark, opting instead to proceed with some key downtown improvement projects.
