The Town Council of Carthage would give a historic marker to an individual for personal gain? What kind of Town Fathers would do such a thing?

I take offense to that statement. This has nothing to do with personal gain. The Pik-n-Pig rents from me. I am not in the restaurant business and don't intend to get into it. You need to check out these things before you start on me. This monument will not increase anyone's business, it will enhance the Town of Carthage's image to many people. I know I will never change your mind but my request is totally not self serving and as I said before,I do take offense to your statement. Let's not start a media war please.
