Maureen Frederick, longtime resident of Pinehurst and a well-known local artist, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Mrs. Frederick and her husband, Paul Frederick, moved to Pinehurst in 1986. Mrs. Frederick was born in England in 1933. She was well known in the area for her numerous art shows at the Campbell House and in her own art gallery. She volunteered for many years at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital as well as making toys for the hospitalized children.
She is lovingly survived by not only her husband, Paul L. Frederick, but also her six grown children, many who still reside in England; three step-children; and 12 grandchildren.
A graveside service will take place in the mausoleum chapel at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines Friday, March 8, at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Archie Stevens officiating.
