Evelyn M. Sheffield
Evelyn McDonald Sheffield, of Aberdeen, went to her heavenly home Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013.
Services will be held at McDonald’s Chapel Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. for visitation, and 3 p.m. service. Viewing will be at the church before the service, and visitation with the family following the service in the fellowship hall.
She was born Nov. 23,1920, to Alice and Archie McDonald. She worked for many years in textiles, retiring from JP Stevens (Gullistan Co.) after 35 years, in 1985.
She was preceeded in death by her parents; siblings Estelle, Viola, Christine, Edith, Mary, Archie Jr, and Frank; and grandson, Derek Black.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Black; grandson, Forrest Black; great-grandson, Drew Black; great-granddaughter Ashlee Black; sister Margaret Huffman, of Winston-Salem; her special nieces and nephews; and friend Betty Black and her special caregiver Renee Johnson, who took such good care of her during her struggle with dementia.
