Marjorie was born in Port Chester, N.Y., on April 29, 1923, to Harrington and Gladys Parker Osgood. She graduated from Mt. Vernon, N.Y., High School and, in 1943, from Boston University with a BA in languages. She was an excellent linguist, fluent in Italian and Spanish. In Pinehurst, the Wares were very active in organized bridge, particularly progressive and duplicate groups at the Pinehurst Country Club. In addition to many activities in The Village Chapel, Marjorie was a member of the College Club and the KKG Alumni Association. She worked for many years at the Chapel’s Bargain Box.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Malcom; and her sons, Malcom and his wife, Ann, of New Knoxville, Ohio, and Robert and his fiancee, Maggi Smith, of Neptune, N.J. She was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Anne.
