Eleanor Dorothy I. Kaul, 79, of Pinehurst, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at FirstHealth Hospice House, in Pinehurst.
She was born March 14, 1933, in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Louis Kaul.
She was employed by the Philadelphia Gas Works for six years, and moved to Newtown, Conn., in 1958. She was a charter member there of Christ the King Lutheran Church. She was employed by Northeast Utilities for 33 years and retired as a secretary in 1991.
In 1998, she moved to Pinehurst, and was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed travel, gardening and a love of animals, especially cats.
Burial will take place at a later date in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Danbury, Conn.
She is survived by several cousins.
