Laura A. Carpenter

Laura Anne Carpenter, 63, of Pinebluff, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, after a short illness.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Boles Funeral Home, in Southern Pines. A memorial celebration of her life will be held in April at Anne’s request, at a location to be announced.
Born April 24, 1949, Anne grew up in the Sandhills of North Carolina and became a lover of animals, the outdoors, and especially beach music. Always a vibrant spirit, Anne would make anyone feel at home and welcome in her presence. With a beautiful smile and a generous heart of gold, Anne enriched the lives of many cherished friends and loved ones.
Anne was most proud of her three sons and three grandchildren, who brought her so much joy.
Anne was predeceased by her beloved parents, Joe Carpenter Sr. and Mary Carpenter, of Wagram. She is survived by her sister, Linda Carpenter Bennie, of Naples, Fla.; her brother, Joe Carpenter Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Wagram; her three sons, Jay Sellers, wife, Catherine, and daughter, Caroline of Wake Forest; Jody Sellers, wife Kristen, and children, Sydney and Barrett, of Sanford; and Jenks Caldwell III of Wagram.
