Jeffrey Howard Johnson, 51, of Pinehurst, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Magnolia Gardens, in Southern Pines.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Boles Funeral Home, in Southern Pines. Burial will be private, in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines.
Mr. Johnson was born July 11, 1961, in Chicago, later moving to New Jersey, where he graduated from Seton Hall University. He was employed for many years in the insurance/ accounting field and was an assistant vice president and controller at Jefferson Insurance Co. of New York City from 1986 to 1998.
He is survived by his parents, Howard and Betty Johnson, of Pinehurst; an aunt and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
