Kelly Anne Hoffman, 63, of Southern Pines, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Penick Village.
Kelly was born May 17, 1949, in Delaware, Ohio. She graduated from Adrian College in Michigan, where she majored in physical education and art. Kelly taught in the Delaware school system until joining the family at Bun’s Restaurant, where she successfully managed the breakfast portion of the business. Kelly excelled in sports, art, music and enjoyed an eclectic and amusing sense of humor. She loved people, animals and the Southwest.
She is survived by her parents, George and Marilynn Hoffman, of Southern Pines; a sister, Sooz Hoffman, of Albuquerque, N.M.; brothers George Michael Hoffman and his wife, Connie, of Delaware, Ohio, and Steven Nickey Hoffman, of Las Vegas; aunt and uncle Libby and Denny Kuhn, of Southern Pines and aunt Lo Jenkins, of Dayton, Ohio; niece Kt Partridge and husband, Bryan, of Newport, N.H.; nephews Chris Hoffman and wife, Jen, of Indiana, Pa., Scott Hoffman and wife, Melissa, Nathan Hoffman and wife, Nikki, and Drew Hoffman and wife, Helga, all of Delaware, Ohio; as well as a host of close family friends, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A private family service will be held.
