James Timothy Mahoney, 87, of Pinehurst, died Monday, Feb, 18, 2013, at Pinehurst Health Care and Rehab, in Pinehurst.
A rite of committal will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, in Southern Pines, with the Rev. Edward J. Burch officiating.
Mr. Mahoney was born Oct. 15, 1925, to the late John and Mary Mahoney, in the Bronx, N.Y.
Mr. Mahoney served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mildred L. Mahoney; and a stepson, William G. Ring, of Trumansburg, N.Y.
