Annie Mae Morgan Hufford, 76, of Morrisville, went into the arms of Our Lord and Savior Monday, Feb. 4, 2013.
A reception in celebration of Ann’s life will be held at her daughter’s house on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., 2204 Good Shepherd Way, Apex.
As she loved her hometown of Pinehurst and her family there, there will also be a reception at the Beulah Hill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 7400 Beulah Hill Church Road, West End, on Friday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. A private burial will be held at Beulah Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 14, 1936, the youngest daughter of Arthur and Minnie Morgan, of Pinehurst. She graduated from Pinehurst High School. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Paige and Rick Glover, Terri and Scotty Lambert, and Kathy and Jimmy Smith; and grandchildren Addison Allgood, Jimmy and Kala Dayton, and Layton Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; grandchild Aaron Allgood; brothers Walter, Worthy, James, Alexzander, Alvin and Bud Morgan; and sisters Faye Worsham and Lois Morgan.
She loved painting and loved her best friends Pat Wickham, Jeanette Scott, Winnie Lung and Burie Brown. Her grandchildren were her world.
