Kareem Jabbar Scarborough, 40, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Southern Pines, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, in Orlando.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Southern Pines Primary School auditorium. Walk-through viewing will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at the Simon Funeral Home chapel, Southern Pines. Burial will be in Burnett’s Chapel United Church of Christ Cemetery, Graham.
He is survived by his wife, Krista; children, Amya and Khamil; parents, Deborah and Eddie Utley and Jerry and Trudy Gibson; and sister, Tahirah Utley-Chavis.
