Nell Swaim Teague Sechrist, 85, of Whispering Pines, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, in Pinehurst.
A memorial service is planned for Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Southern Pines.
Mrs. Sechrist was a graduate of Woman’s College in Greensboro in 1947. She obtained a master’s degree in education from UNC Greensboro in December 1976. She was an elementary school teacher in Greensboro for 28 years and in Thomasville, N.C., for seven years.
Mrs. Sechrist was preceded in death by her first husband, George Hubert Teague, and is survived by her husband of 38 years, Paul G. Sechrist; daughter, Polly Teague Davis, of Greensboro; stepsons, Jim Sechrist, of Thomasville, David Sechrist, of Sarasota, Fla., and Mark Sechrist, of Panama City, Fla.; three grandchildren, Chris Kelley (April), Savannah Davis and Erin Bosse; and three great-grandchildren.
