James Wilbur Brower
James Wilbur Brower, 96, of Cameron, passed Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at the Tara Plantation assisted living facility, in Carthage.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Spout Springs Memorial Presbyterian Church, Cameron.
Wilbur leaves to cherish a legacy of caring and wisdom five daughters, Hazelene Cash, Mary Arnold (Thomas) and Janet Thomas (Ronald) all of Cameron, Bernice Simpson (Al), of Sanford, and “adopted daughter” Sylvia Mason, of Frankfort, Ky.; five sons, Wilbur L. Brower (Cynthia), of Comfort, David (Gail), of Chester, Va., Malcolm (Brenda), of High Point, Dwight (Deborah), of Covington, Ga., Glenn, of Fayetteville, and Gary, of Cameron; 30 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; 43 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Kermit (Pearl), of Cameron; two sisters, Mavis Fleming and Marie Wilkerson, of Cameron; two sisters-in-law, Alice Brower, of Cameron, and Susie Williams, of Jamaica, N.Y.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
