Edwin George Vincent, 95, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at ManorCare of Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.Friday, Sept. 14, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Southern Pines.
Mr. Vincent was a native of Rochester, N.Y. He was born March 19, 1917, to the late Eugene and Constance Gordon Vincent. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a member of CHI PSI fraternity there. He retired from W.R. Grace Co. and was a golf course ranger at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club until age 90.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jean Forman Vincent; and two brothers, Richard Vincent and Robert Vincent.
Survivors include a son, Larry Vincent and wife, Hannah, of Gaffney, S.C.; a daughter, Gail Vincent and her husband, Jim Connon, of Fort Myers, Fla.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
