John Dennis McRae

John Dennis McRae, 57, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Johnston Memorial Hospital, in Smithfield.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gregg Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Southern Pines.
John worked for more than 30 years with the Valet Cleaners in Southern Pines.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret M. Montgomery, of Princeton, N.C.; his brothers, David McRae, of Seven Lakes, Harrison McRae, of Lakeview, and Don McRae, of Laurel Hill; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
