Helen M. Wolfe

Helen Marion Wolfe, 94, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at FirstHealth Hospice House, in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Eugene Ussery officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Fork Christian Church Cemetery in Sanford. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home.
A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Bertha Chapman Cooper. She was a star basketball player at Cameron School and attended Campbell College.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy M. Marion and Kemp Russell Wolfe; a son, Roy Leonard Marion; sisters, Lois Moses and Sybil Marsh; brothers, Clyde Cooper, Fred Cooper, Harold Cooper and Jake Cooper; and a stepdaughter, Linda Wolfe.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela M Darnell and husband, Jerry, of Westmoore; a son, William M. Marion and wife, Debra, of Carthage; daughter-in-law, Edna Marion, of Carthage; stepchildren, Kay Brown and husband, Ken, of Pawleys Island, S.C., Gary Wolfe and wife, Kathy, of Lexington, Ronnie Wolfe and wife, Judi, of Greensboro, and Charles Wolfe, of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Michelle Bennett, Sherrie Bennett, Meranda Marion, Randall Marion, Rodney Marion, John Marion, Vernon Marion, Chris Marion, Brent Marion, Brandon Marion, Butch Bennett and Justin Bennett; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
