Linda Maness, 64, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Prosperity Friends Church, Robbins, where she was a member, with the Rev. Josh Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery, Borden Road, Robbins. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Kennedy Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Steven and Sandra Maness, 1920 Spies Road, Robbins.
Mrs. Maness was born in Guilford County, a daughter of the late Clinton Howard and Alma Maness Scott. She worked for Moore County Schools and was known to all the children as “Miss Linda.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Maness. Linda is survived by her daughters, Lisa Kennedy and husband, James, of Robbins, and Jennifer Parker and husband, Tolar, of Greenville, S.C.; son, Steven Maness and wife, Sandra, of Robbins; and grandchildren, Melissa Kennedy, Stacie Kennedy and Rider Maness.
