Elder Michael Blackston, 59, of Raeford, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Church of God Temple Bethel/Church of God and Saints of Christ, Suffolk, Va. Viewing/visitation will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Simon Funeral Home Chapel, Southern Pines. Burial will be in Belleville Cemetery, Suffolk, Va.
The family will receive friends at 175 Louro Lane, Aberdeen, NC 28315.
He is survived by his children, Shashanah Cole, Baruch Shamberger, Isaiah Blackston and Michael Montez Blackston; brothers, Edward and Bobby Blackston; sister, Mary Faison; and six grandchildren.
