W. Battle Wall Jr., 89, of Pinehurst, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Forestville Methodist Church, in Lilesville.
Mr. Wall is survived by his wife, Bettye Braswell Wall; two sons, W. Battle Wall III, of Charlotte, and Arthur Wall, of Wadesboro; five stepchildren, David Braswell and Dr. Laura Braswell, of Atlanta, Robert Braswell, of Hickory, Anne Heldreth, of Charlottesville, Va., and John Braswell, of Hendersonville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bettie Elaine Davidson, of Rockingham.
