Bessie L. Nelson, 101, of Southern Pines, died Sunday, May 20, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, at First Missionary Baptist Church, Southern Pines. The wake will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
She is survived by four sons, Larry (Joan) Nelson of Iselin, N.J., Louis (the late Evelyn) Nelson, of Roselle, N.J., Donald Nelson, of Elizabeth, N.J., and Dennis (Sandra) Nelson, of Washington, D.C.; two grandchildren, Krista L. Nelson, of Iselin, N.J.; and Shawn Nelson, of Roselle, N.J.; and two great-grandchildren.
