Josephine Smith Bettini, 88, died Thursday May 10, 2012, at Penick Village.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the First Baptist Church of Southern Pines, with Dr. David Helms ­officiating. Burial followed at Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family received friends at 1 p.m. at the church.
Born May 14, 1923, in Cameron, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Gertrude Smith. Mrs. Bettini was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Curt Bettini, of Aberdeen; two daughters, Barbara Bettini Presnell and husband, Tim, of Charleston, S.C., and Mary Katherine Bettini, of Aberdeen; one son, Mike Bettini and wife, Jackie, of Aberdeen; two sisters, Marjorie Gschwind, of Aberdeen, and Betty Jane Pierce, of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren
