Esther Hortense Wethington Squire, 89, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at FirstHealth Hospice House, in Pinehurst.
The family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Boles Funeral Home, in Southern Pines. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, where she will be buried with her husband, Edward Squire, and son, William Michael Squire.
Esther was predeceased by her husband, Edward; sisters Dorothy Black and Helen Ortman; son William Michael Squire; grandson William Squire; and great-granddaughter Nadia Grant.
She is survived by her siblings Mary, Margaret and Joseph Wethington; sons Edward, Mark, Randall, Kenneth and Daniel Squire; daughter, Carolyn Loveland; grandchildren Malora Squire Grant, Peter, Marietta, William, Joseph, Beverly, Daniel, and Annie Squire, and Jennifer and Michael Loveland; and seven great-grandchildren.
