Hattie Ham Tulloch
Hattie Ham Tulloch, 84, of Pinebluff, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the Davis Community Rehabilitation Pavilion, in Wilmington.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at Pinebluff United Methodist Church, in Pinebluff. Burial will follow at the Pinebluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Pallbearers for the service will be Tim Inman, James Tatum. Chuck Tulloch, Wayne Brock, Frederick Smith, and Wayne Tulloch. Honorary pallbearers include dear friend Jonathan Lausten and grandsons Billy Tulloch and John L. Tulloch. Special music will be sung by her great-niece, Mrs. Angela Inman.
Mrs. Tulloch was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Goldsboro, to the late Jack and Sarah Ham. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John B. Tulloch, and two sons, Dr.Bill Tulloch and Berkeley Tulloch.
Hattie’s sweet and strong faith in her Lord will be missed by all who knew her. She resided in Pinebluff, from 1954 to 2006; she spent her last years at Penick Village in Southern Pines, where she had many close and dear friends.
She was employed by the state of North Carolina for 25 years as an executive secretary. Mrs. Tulloch was a member of Pinebluff United Methodist Church and a faithful prayer warrior.
Survivors include her son, John Allen Tulloch and wife, Doris, of Wilmington; a brother, Philmon Ham and wife, Mary Ellen, of Goldsboro; her special and loving grandchildren, Rebecca, Sarah and Billy Tulloch; great-granddaughter, Sydney Tulloch; and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pinebluff United Methodist Church, 275 E. Philadelphia Ave., Pinebluff, NC 28373.
