Delana Louise Hickman, 72, of High Falls, passed away peacefully Monday, April 30, 2012, at FirstHealth Hospice House, in Pinehurst.
Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at High Falls United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Jonathan Mills officiating. The family received friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Home prior to the service.
Ms. Hickman was born Feb. 15, 1940. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Ashburn.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Holder, of Aberdeen; son Terry Ashburn, of Louisiana; sister Judy Hickman, of High Falls; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
