Betty Louise Morrison "Betsy" Waugh
Betty Louise Morrison “Betsy” Waugh, 78, of Greensboro, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, March 15, 2012.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2012, at Faith Presbyterian Church on Friendly Avenue with the Rev. John Johnson and the Rev. Mary McNeal officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A native of Carthage, Betsy was the daughter of the late Lucille Frye and Make B. Morrison. She was a longtime member of Faith Presbyterian Church.
Betsy loved to use her talents for coloring and decorating to make her home warm and welcoming to all who came to visit. She also loved cooking and was equally at ease with Southern cooking or elegant dinners for family and guests. Her charm, dry wit and caring ways won her many friends, and she certainly cherished them all.
Survivors include her loving husband of almost 61 years, Robert Thomas “Bob” Waugh, of the home; daughter, Pamela W. Pizza and, Pat, of Creston; grandchildren, Rob Hines and, Kate, of Holly Springs, Joy Boquin and, Todd, of Apex; five great-grandchildren, Will, Wes and Ethan Hines, and Cole and Brenner Boquin; sister, Joan Morrison McLean, of Carthage; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home, 213 W. Mountain St., in Kernersville, and other times at the home.
