Patricia Bowen

Patricia Bowen, of Fort Collins, Colo., born Sept. 23, 1925, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at her home.
She is survived by her loving husband, artist Craig Bowen, and their daughter Pamela.
Although there will be no viewing, a small gathering of family and friends will meet in Fort Collins on Saturday. Pat will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered off the coast of Big Sur, Calif., sometime in the future.
Before moving to Pinehurst, Pat and Craig were longtime residents of the Monterey Bay area in California, where Pat used to own an art gallery. She and Craig also published a cookbook featuring local restaurants. Pat was an excellent cook and she loved to entertain.
Upon retirement in 1994, she and Craig moved to Pinehurst and became active members of the community. Pat was active in the League of Women Voters and an active member of Act II Book Club and bridge groups. She also enjoyed attending Cape Fear Theatre with special friends and entertaining after the show, serving her scrumptious recipes.
Although they loved Pinehurst, in February 2011, with failing health, Pat and Craig moved to Fort Collins to be surrounded by their nieces and nephews, who have been helping with their care. There, in the comfort of familiar surroundings, with her beloved husband by her bedside, Pat quietly left this world.
She was a very special woman who was loved by and will be missed by many.
