Laivora S. Ehrhardt

Laivora Sally Ehrhardt, longtime Pinehurst resident and senior member of Pinehurst Community Church, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at Mount Hope Cemetery, in Southern Pines.
Laivora was born Feb. 17, 1913, in High Point, the daughter of the late Albert and Ila Sally Laivora. She and her parents moved to Pinehurst shortly thereafter. She graduated from Pinehurst High School and Women’s College in Greensboro, and taught in the Morrisville and Aberdeen schools. Subsequently she married and opened a private kindergarten in her home. After several years she returned to the Moore County school system and retired in the mid-’70s.
Mrs. Ehrhardt was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Ehrhardt Jr.; and their daughter Amelia Rose. She is survived by three children, Elaine Ehrhardt Cameron and husband, Warren, and their children Jeff and Greg; Ann Ehrhardt Dixon and her children, Carey and Aaron; and Brad Ehrhardt and wife, Teresa, and their children Christopher, Rebecca and Daniel. Mrs Ehrhardt is also survived by a granddaughter, Liz Moz; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
