Ray Robert Sakowski, 68, of Pinehurst, passed Friday, June 22, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Sakowski was born April 16, 1944, in Shenandoah, Pa., to the late Joseph and Theresa (Snitzer) Sakowski.
Mr. Sakowski is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jene U. Sakowski; two sons, Joseph Sakowski, of Duck, N.C., and Douglas Sakowski and wife, Rose, of Clayton, N.C.; two sisters, Carol Gallucci, of Greenville, and Debra Ciampoli and husband, Ronnie, of Norfolk, Va.; Sister-in-law, Judith Taylor and husband, Bob, of Columbia, S.C.; three grandchildren, Cole, Carson and Cade Sakowski, all of Clayton; three nieces, Diane Prince, Lauren Ciampoli and Rachel Ciampoli; a nephew, Mark Gallucci; a step-niece, Susan Sprawls; and step-nephew, Jim Taylor.
A private family visitation will be held at the family home.
