William E. West

William Elwood West, 82, of Aberdeen, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Kingswood Nursing Center, in Aberdeen.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at Bible Tabernacle Cemetery, Ray’s Bridge Road, Whispering Pines.
He was born Aug. 14, 1929, in Cheraw, S.C., to the late James Fairly West and Beulah Miller West. He was a veteran of his country and served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melva Brown West, of Aberdeen; a daughter, Billie Sue Clippard and husband, Edward, of West End; two grandchildren, Melody Mills and husband, Charles, and Meagan Severance and husband, Scott, of Knoxville, Tenn.; six great-grandchildren, Tyler Prather, Ashleigh Mills, McKenzie Mills, Charles Mills Jr., Walker Severance and Sydney Severance; and several very loved and special nieces and nephews.
