Louise M. Dailey

Louise Maihofer Dailey, 82, of Pinehurst, passed Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, in Southern Pines, with the Rev. Msgr. Jeffrey A. Ingham officiating. Rite of committal will follow in the St. Anthony Cemetery. A vigil for the deceased will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Boles Funeral Home, in Pinehurst.
Mrs. Dailey was born Jan. 12, 1930, in Detroit, to the late Anthony and Marcella (Fitzgerald) Maihofer. She began her adult life as a teacher in Detroit. She married John in October 1955, and were blessed with three children. They resided in Fort Wayne, Ind., for nine years, then in Milwaukee for the next 18 years. They retired in 1991 to Pinehurst.
Mrs. Dailey is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Dailey; two sons, Jeffrey Dailey and wife, Susan, of Los Angeles, and Michael Dailey and wife, Patricia, of Gainesville, Va.; a daughter, Elizabeth Radke and husband, Paul, of Cincinnati; two sisters, Suzanne Wagner, of Minneapolis, and Jane Crowley, of Brighton, Mich.; eight grandchildren, Justin Dailey, Shelly Behm and husband, Casey, Phillip Blag and wife, Amanda, Jonathan Dailey, Christopher Dailey, Heather Radke, Sarah Radke and Eric Radke; and two great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Maihofer.
