Marie Esther Brewer Chriscoe, 81, of Seagrove, died Thursday, June 7, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 9, at Union Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Martin E. Davis officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Phillips Funeral Home, in Star, and other time at 764 Chrisco Road, Seagrove.
Mrs. Chriscoe was born in Davidson County to Willie J. and Glennie Davis Brewer. She was a retired mold operator with Black & Decker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis O. Chriscoe; brothers Thomas, Vernon and Gurney Brewer; and sisters Dorothy Auman, Ruth Kennedy and Barbara Kennedy.
She is survived by her daughter, Gwen Brown and husband, Carson, of Kernersville; son, Ralph Chriscoe and wife, Christine, of Atlanta; son, James S. Chriscoe and wife, Judy, of Denton; brother, Joe Brewer and wife, Shirley, of Seagrove; sisters, Betty Sue Garner and husband, Vernon, of Robbins, and Geraldine Frye and husband, Kinney, of Robbins; special friend, Harold Chriscoe, of Seagrove; grandchildren, Derek and Kyle Chriscoe, of Atlanta, Kent Chriscoe and wife, Tricia, of Denton, Jeremy Luck, of Asheboro, and Dia Budkey and husband, Lee, of Kernersville; and her great-grandchildren, Jenna, Lane and Kaelyn.
