Hilda Frances Olson Lane, 88, of Aberdeen, passed Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Kingswood Nursing Center, in Aberdeen.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Fairview Baptist Church in West End, with Pastor Donald Gillis officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Boles Funeral Home, in Southern Pines.
Mrs. Lane was born Sept. 4, 1923, in Brockton, Mass., to the late Oscar and Eva (Fisher) Olson. She was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church and a former resident of Southern Pines.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Gillis and husband, Donald, of Aberdeen, and Judith Edwards and husband, Al, of Southern Pines; a son, Julian “Bud” Francis Lane Jr.; and two grandchildren, Candace Lane, of Fayetteville, and Adam Edwards, of Wilmington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Francis Lane Sr., in 1987
