Sheila Florence McLester, 73, of Pinehurst, died Saturday, June 2, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 11, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, in Southern Pines, with Pastor A. Byron Holderby officiating.
Mrs. McLester was born Feb. 10, 1939, in Floral Park, N.Y., to the late Carl and Peggy O’Hearn Marker. She spent 20 years with Eastern Propane in New Jersey as an administrative assistant to the vice president of the company. She had a partnership in an antique shop in in New Jersey.
She enjoyed home decorating, and her home was featured in Home and Garden magazine. She accomplished this all while raising three boys with her husband deployed frequently. She loved the trips with her family to Japan, Hong Kong and Europe.
Mrs. McLester is survived by her husband of 53 years, Judson Cole McLester; her three sons, Scott, Judson Carl and Glenn; and her four grandchildren.
