Charles J. “Chuckie” Ryan, 46, of Kaaawa, Hawaii, died Tuesday, May 17, 2012, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Candor, with the Rev. Michael Free officiating.
Chuckie was born July 24, 1965, in Pinehurst.
Chuckie will be remembered by his family and friends as a man of honor and integrity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed him. His beautiful smile and the sparkle in his eyes were a true reflection of the joyous spirit residing in his soul. He loved life, he loved his family, and he loved the ocean.
His dream of moving to Hawaii became a realization only a short year ago and he enjoyed every minute, taking in the beauty of his surroundings. He leaves behind many dear friends on the island of Oahu, as well as family and friends in the States, who will never forget his infectious enthusiasm and delight in life.
He is survived by his mother and father, Joan and Chuck Ryan, of Pinehurst; two children, son, Aaron Ryan, and daughter, Haley Ryan, of Kentucky; grandson, Bently; three brothers, Pat Ryan, of the Philippines, Bobby Davis, of Aberdeen, and Donnie Davis and wife, Sheila, of Lincoln, Neb.; four sisters, Judy Steed and husband, Fred, of Candor, Cindi Davis, of Cherry Grove, S.C., Donna Morgan, of Raleigh, Dee Dee Reid and husband, Phil, of Cherry Grove; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Ryan.
