Mr. Douglas B. Grieme, 64, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Sandhills Community College, Owens Auditorium in Pinehurst.
Mr. Grieme was born August 25, 1947, in Rockland County, N.Y., to the late Herman and Ada Marie Grieme. He was the founder and vice president of Grieme Roofing Company Inc., based in Aberdeen, for the past 45 years.
In addition, he volunteered his time spending countless hours aiding in the construction of more than 100 Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses throughout central and eastern North Carolina for the past 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy L. Grieme, of Pinehurst; a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Elizabeth Grieme, of Whispering Pines; a sister, Beverly Peyton, of Springfield, Vt.; and three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York Inc., 100 Watchtower Drive, Patterson, NY 12563-9204.
