Alneta T. Short
Alneta Taylor Short, 84, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at her residence.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Culdee Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Joseph Washburn officiating.
A native of Osprey, Fla., she was the last surviving child of the late Alley Taylor and Lessie Watson Taylor. She worked for the Dugan family as head housekeeper for many years and for the Swift family in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. A. Short; and a son, Floyd Short. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Cox and husband, Johnny, of Carthage, and Nancy Turner and Paulette Moulton, both of Osprey; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
