Elsa J. Miller, 96, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Fox Hollow Assisted Living, in Pinehurst.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, in Southern Pines.
She was born Feb. 24, 1915, in Chicago, to Elsa Hoch and Richard Anton Junker. She was a longtime resident of Lake Forest, Ill. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her sons Donald J. Miller Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Pinehurst, and Thomas J. Miller, of Laurinburg; daughters Gretchen M. Day and husband, Paul, of Naples, Fla., Judy M. Skinner, of Chicago, and Susan Miller, of Pinehurst; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Donald J. Miller Sr.; son Richard Miller; and sister Josephine Kentnick.
