Carl E. Lee Jr.

Carl Eugene (Gene) Lee Jr., 79, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at St. Joseph of the Pines Health Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the VFW, 615 South Page St.
Born Sept. 9, 1932, in Moore County, he was a son of the late Carl (Pat) and Katie McDonald Lee.
Mr. Lee was a U.S. Army veteran, the owner of Southern Air and Equipment Company, was a master woodworker, a member of the VFW Post 7318, and worked at Burney hardware.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Caples Lee, of Southern Pines; one son, Gerald Patrick Lee, of Foxfire Village; one daughter, Cheri Lee Creed, of Ashley Heights; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
