Cecilia F. Troutman

Cecilia Marie Fiddner Troutman, 97, of Pinebluff, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at her home, with her family by her side.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Pinebluff United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gregory Minnick and the Rev. David Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Pinebluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Boles Funeral Home, in Southern Pines.
She was born Nov. 25, 1914, in Moore County, to the late John Fiddner and Viola Ruth Grover Fiddner. She was an active member of Pinebluff United Methodist Church in Pinebluff, where she served as a past president of the Women’s Circle of the church. She was a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 259 in Aberdeen, where she was a member for 60 years. She loved flowers and enjoyed baking for the Pinehurst Woman’s Exchange for many years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ruth Amos, of Phoenix, and Marie Sykes and husband, Charles, of Pinebluff; a son, Howard H. Troutman Jr. and wife, Joan, of Pinebluff; a sister-in-law, Marguerite Fiddner, of Wilmington; and 13 grandchildren, 33 grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 80 years, Howard Troutman Sr; two brothers, Dighton Fiddner and John Fiddner; and a sister, Helen Lampley.
