Billy T. Kearns

Billy Taft Kearns, 71, of Aberdeen, passed Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at his residence.
A visitation was held from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Boles Funeral Home, in Southern Pines.
Mr. Kearns was born Sept. 4, 1940, in Moore County, to the late Pearlie Taft Kearns and Lois (Collins) Kearns. He was an avid race fan who loved Bill Elliot and the Carolina Tarheels basketball team.
Mr. Kearns is survived by his wife of three years but together for 37 years, Annie Ruth Kearns; two daughters, Lisa and Linda Kearns; three stepsons, Eartle Bullard, Tony Bullard and Grayland Bullard; five stepdaughters, Bernice Oxendine, Betty Jean Oxendine, Joann Clevland, Brenda Kay Lowery and Deborah Ann Bullard; a brother, Kenneth Ray Kearns; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Kearns was preceded in death by a brother, John Ladd Kearns; a sister, Carol Faircloth; and an aunt, Lois Collins Kearns.
