Paul Michael Lally

Paul Michael Lally, 33, of Wilmington, Del., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.
Known at home as Michael, he was born in Wilmington on February 4, 1979, and graduated from A.I. DuPont High School, where he played the trumpet in the school’s world-renowned marching band.
With the band, he played in The Lord Mayor’s Parade in London, in the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena, Calif., at the Orange Bowl and at New York’s Giants Stadium and made several trips to Toronto and Virginia Beach.
Michael continued sharing his love of music throughout his life, playing guitar and singing in many bands around New Castle County. He also wrote several songs and enjoyed and played a wide variety of music.
Most recently, he was employed with Community Interactions of Media, Pa., where he was known as Paul, and cared for those who could not care for themselves. Michael will be long remembered by those who knew him for his enthusiastic love of both life and music, and by those with whom he generously shared that love.
He is survived by his daughter, Hannah M. Lally, of Leola, Pa.; son, Paul Michael Lally II, of Hockessin, Del.; father and stepmother, Francis M. Lally III and Georganne M. Lally, of Newark, Del.; mother and stepfather, Vickie Bedder and Bruce Bedder, of Seven Lakes; sisters, Carrie B. Clark and husband, Seth, of Seven Lakes, and Caitlin M. Lally, of Newark, Del.; nephews, Cameron J. Clark, of Seven Lakes, and Braeden and Landon Bedder, of Wilmington, Del.; stepbrother, Brian Bedder, of Wilmington, Del.; stepsister, Dr. Casey Bedder, of Wilmington; paternal grandfather, Francis M. Lally Jr., of Wilmington; maternal grandmother, Elmeta R. Evans and husband, Jim Evans, of Seven Lakes; and his special companion, Heather Richardson, and her children, Ashanti, Aaron, Alexis and Aubrey Hargrove.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at The Chapel in the Pines, 581 Seven Lakes Drive, Seven Lakes.
