Lakie R. Fogle Sr.

Lakie Ray Fogle Sr., 77, of Robbins, was called home to be with the Lord, Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Unity Grove Baptist Church, in Carthage, with the Rev. William Robertson Jr. officiating. Burial will be private, at a later date. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines, and other times at the home.
Mr. Fogle was born Dec. 4, 1934, in Bedford, Va. He was the son of the late John Henry Fogle and the late Annie Pearl Branch. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Shirley Ann Hall and Elizabeth Ann Bonomo.
Lakie Ray was the owner of Lakie’s Towing and Lakie’s Used Auto Parts in northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. He retired to Aberdeen in 1996 to be closer to his children and grandchildren. In 2006 he moved to Robbins.
Lakie Ray knew how to enjoy life and have fun; he loved to joke and enjoyed endlessly picking at his grandchildren. The stories of his youthful exploits will be fondly remembered.
He is survived by his son, Lakie Ray Fogle Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Aberdeen; his two daughters, JoAnn Fogle Hussey, of the home, and Patricia Dianne Miner and husband, Tom, of Aberdeen; seven grandchildren, Andrea Taito, Lakie Fogle III, Shirley Fogle, Joseph Fogle, Shane Fogle, Robert Sivak and Ashley Sivak; five great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
