William Fred Davis, 85, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011.
A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Trinity Bible Church, with the Rev. Bill Maness officiating. The family received friends Friday, Oct. 28, at Boles Funeral Home, in Pinehurst.
The greatest joy in his life was spending time with his “girls.”
He is survived by his wife, Annie Ruth Davis; daughters, Nancy Speer and husband, Jerry, of Longs, S.C., and Betty Jean Hill, of Carthage; a sister, Betty Phillips, of Carthage; granddaughters, Tammy and Sherri Speer, of Longs, Rhonda and Wesley White Jr., Torie and Cory Jones, all of Carthage; great-granddaughters, Ashley, DeAnna, Danielle, Kailen, Hallie, Savanna, and Maddie.
