POOLE

B. Stanley Poole passed away Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church, Southern Pines, with burial to follow at Bethesda Cemetery, Aberdeen. Family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m Wednesday at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
He was born May 20, 1927, in Wake County, to the late Nellie G. Gargis and Dorsey E. Poole Sr. He attended Western Carolina University and served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Carolina Power and Light after a long career as a senior equipment service representative. He was also very passionate about his service to the community through the Southern Pines Lions Club.
Mr. Poole is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Poole Cameron, of Carthage; brother Dorsey E. Poole Jr., of Fremont; and granddaughters Kelly Cameron and Lindsay Cameron. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Louise, in 2007; his parents; brothers Dr. Arnold B. Poole and T. Edward Poole; and sister Doris Poole Clark.
