Annette W. Thompson
Annette “Ann” Wheeler Warner Thompson, 87, of Aberdeen, died peacefully Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at her daughter’s home in Mountain City, Tenn.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen, with the Rev. Martin Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Boles Funeral Home, in Pinehurst.
Mrs. Thompson was born June 12, 1924, in Newark, N.J. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and retired from BB&T. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Aberdeen Chapter No. 259, a former board member of the Moore County Library, former board member of the Malcolm Blue Historical Society, and the first secretary of the Moore County Republican Women’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Coolidge Thompson; and her son, Thomas C. Thompson.
She is survived by her son, Ronald W. Thompson, of Wendell; daughters, Susan T. Adams, of Seven Lakes, and Sylvia T. Silverberg, of Mountain City, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
