David Alan Ward, 50, of Sanford, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at the home, 120 Beverly Hills Lane, Cameron, and also received friends on Saturday. Interment will be at a later date, at Sandhills Veteran Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 7, 1961, to Virginia Sue Hundley Ward and the late Elvin E. Ward Sr. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Elvin E. Ward Jr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sheila Ward; two stepsons, Patrick Inman, of Ocean Isle, and Israel Adam Carter, of Sanford; two stepdaughters, Amanda Inman, of Myrtle Beach, and Stacy Carter Phillips, of Guam; sister, Deborah Lynn Wilson; sister-in-law, Toni Ward; four step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
